A Wonderful Friend Celebrated

My girlfriends and I got together this weekend to celebrate our wonderful friend Jeri.  I think we are all in denial that she will soon be leaving Vancouver....  Jeri promises to visit often and we are going to hold her to that!!

Sunshine!

We were treated with sunshine and blue skies on Saturday!  A rare event for us during the winter months.  We decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and headed out to Battle Ground for a hike.

On the drive there we had a wonderful view of Mt. St. Helens.

To see all the waterfalls we didn't have to do a lot of walking.  We did however need to drive to 3 different parking lots to see each one.  Everything was close by and easy to find.  I'm disappointed in my camera because the pictures do not do the views justice.

Little Greenie

This post has been created so Katie can share her book with her cousins Hailey and Taylor.  :o). 

Katie made this book on the weekend without any input or help from Al or I.  Katie talks often about going frog hunting with her cousins this past summer.  It obviously made a big impression on her!

Hailey caught the frog.  We put it in the cage.

Then we got in the car.  We stopped at a house.

(We ran into our childhood neighbors and even though we were muddy messes they insisted we come by for a visit). :o)

Then we drove home.  We got out of the car.  Then we went inside.

Do you know Greenie was Katie best friend in Canada?  Katie and Greenie's favorite color is green.  Katie loves Greenie.  Greenie loves Katie.  They like to play frogs.  They like to go to the park too.

Sunday Stroll

We thought it would be good to get the kids out of the house for some fresh air on Sunday.  It was a good idea... until the rain hit half way through our two mile walk!  :o)
