Thank you Auntie Debbie!!!

For what ever reason mail coming from (or going to) Canada can either take days... or weeks!  You just never know!  Katie's gift from her Aunt, Uncle and cousins took the scenic route.  Katie was very patient, but she was ecstatic when they finally arrived on Saturday.  :o)

This is Katie modeling one of the gifts they spoiled her with!

Girl's Beach Getaway (Edited Family-Friendly Version)

Despite the Tsunami warnings, Mona, Shawna, Teressa and I headed for the coast Friday morning.  We were the first to arrive at the beach house and immediately put our priorities in order and whipped up some jello shots before heading out for lunch.

Mona asked our waiter to create a Tsunami drink, which ended up being very tasty!!

Teressa had another drink in mind, and without any discussion ordered each of us one of these...

This is where things got a little fuzzy :o)

Shortly after lunch Tammi, Perrin and Amy arrived (followed by Mary soon after) and we tested the jello shots.

The next morning we had to say good-bye to Perrin and Teressa (who had to head home early).  Later we got "beautified" and headed out to do some shopping.

Like each year, we picked our "lucky" item to ensure good luck at bingo.  This year it was feathered dream-catcher earrings.

After dinner we taste tested our new and improved Sponge Bobs 2.0's (Mary's recipe).  Whipped cream flavored vodka and Sunny D.  I highly recommend trying this.  Make sure to use Sunny D, as it isn't nearly as good with regular orange juice.

Then we headed to the bingo hall and met a memorable local.

Sadly we did not strike it rich, so we decided to drown our bingo sorrows at the local tavern after.

Overall, it was a fun, and uhm... quiet weekend... Yeah, lets go with that.  See... we are older now and much more refined.  There was none of the typical silliness... like Team Edward vs Team Jacob discussions....

And I don't really have any funny, crazy or embarressing pictures to share....

It was just a nice, restful weekend at the beach with my gal pals.  That is our story, and we are sticking to it.
