Tree Decorations

New Local Celebrity!!

Okay, so maybe claiming Katie is a local celebrity is a bit much, but she did get her picture in the paper!  With the help of her Dad, Katie entered a Halloween trivia contest back in October.  This past weekend she was in the paper as their 3rd place ($10.00) winner!

Christmas Train

This evening the Christmas Train pulled into town.  It was 19 F (but the app on my phone warned me it would feel like 6 F outside).  We were all decked out in our glamorous ski pants and winter jackets, but we still managed to freeze.  My poor fingers never recovered after removing my mittens to take a few pictures.  With that said... the train was beautiful...the kids saw Santa and had fun.  Perhaps most importantly, we quickly found warm shelter after!

More Snow!

A few weeks ago we experienced a taste of winter, but the white stuff never stuck around.  Saturday afternoon the snow started to fall again and the kids spent several hours playing outside.  Carson even made himself an Angry Bird.

Ready or not, I think winter is here to stay this time... 

First Wrestling Tournament

Last night the kids participated in their first wrestling tournament.  There were over 450 wrestlers!!  Some as far away as Wisconsin, Iowa and North and South Dakota!  After only a month of practice, I was very proud of how well both Carson and Katie did!

The evening started off with the cheer team performing!

Half way through the tournament Carson was up.  This sport isn't for Moms!!

Birthday Boy

The Birthday Boy prefers rice crispy "cake" over your typical birthday variety. 

Since I'll be turning 28 "again" this summer, I thought I'd be kind and censor Al's new age.... you know... out of respect for the elder in our house.  :o)

With the holidays a mere 25 days away (yikes!), I am trying to stay a step ahead with my Christmas to do list! Tonight, I ordered my cards!!

Mahna Mahna

I took the kids to see the new Muppet Movie this afternoon.  I will admit that I probably enjoyed it more than they did.  However, as a child of the 70's and 80's, how could I not!?

Pizza and (Root) Beer

Carson had his buddy Brady spend the night this past weekend.  They enjoyed a root beer with their pizza.  I couldn't help but envision them in about 10 years with real beers in their hands!

My kids are growing up too quickly.  Proof of this is "Miss Toothless" pictured below.  She had another visit from the tooth fairy this past weekend.  Katie is now finding it a challenge to bite and chew!  :o)
