Season Greetings

With the holidays a mere 25 days away (yikes!), I am trying to stay a step ahead with my Christmas to do list! Tonight, I ordered my cards!!

Mahna Mahna

I took the kids to see the new Muppet Movie this afternoon.  I will admit that I probably enjoyed it more than they did.  However, as a child of the 70's and 80's, how could I not!?

Pizza and (Root) Beer

Carson had his buddy Brady spend the night this past weekend.  They enjoyed a root beer with their pizza.  I couldn't help but envision them in about 10 years with real beers in their hands!

My kids are growing up too quickly.  Proof of this is "Miss Toothless" pictured below.  She had another visit from the tooth fairy this past weekend.  Katie is now finding it a challenge to bite and chew!  :o)

Snow and Ice

The snow might look pretty... but if you just finished an 8 hour shift at a grocery store and your car is covered in it, it isn't.  Especially when you don't have any gloves handy.... and you find yourself using your coat sleeve as a make shift broom and ice-scraper.

The roads are so icy,  I probably could of strapped on my ice-skates and skated home.  Instead I clenched my steering wheel while watching vehicles in front of me fish-tail all over the road.  It has been 10+ years since I've had to drive in snow and ice.... I can't say I've missed it!  :o(

3 Cheers for Katie

When Carson signed up for wrestling, Katie found out she could join the wrestling cheer team.  They practice at the same time at our local high school.  Unfortunately there is no space for the cheerleaders, so they will be literally practicing out in a hallway!  However it looks like Katie will have a lot of fun... even if it means she has to cheer for her brother. :o)

Wrestle Mania!

A couple of Carson's buddies were signing up for wrestling, which got him interested.  Today was their very first practice.  I think it will be hard on me to watch (as it gets pretty rough), but so far Carson is enjoying himself!

Not Yet!

The kids are anxious for our first snowfall.  Me?  I'm in no rush to see the white stuff!

I was happy to see our revised (snow-free) forecast.  :o)

Growing Older

Tonight, Carson (who recently found out I am not really 28 like I have claimed to be for the past 5+ years) said: 

"Mom, I can't stop thinking you are in your 20's.  You look 20.  You really do". 

What a wonderful (although perhaps delusional) boy!
