Monday Afternoon in da Hood

Yes... a snake was found and captured - much to the dismay of the mothers. Needless to say, I kept my distance!

Star Wars was without a doubt the theme for the summer. Not a night went by when the kids weren't out with their light sabers!

Coming to an end...

The summer is almost over! How is that possible? It went by so fast this year. I'm a little sad to be sending my kiddos back to school next week.

Like last summer, we spent most evenings outside with the neighborhood kids. Carson and Katie are really going to miss this nightly activity.

Twenty-Seven

Carson, Taylor, Katie, Hailey

I tried to weed down my favorite pictures from our trip...and I ended up with 27... I would of added more... but yeah.... I'll be impressed if anyone (besides family) actually takes the time to look at the 27... so I decided to stop there! :o)

It was a wonderful trip! I miss my sis and her family already!!!

Toothless, Princess and the Drifter

Tonight as the kids were getting ready for bed, Carson's (long-time) lose tooth finally fell out!! He was one excited boy!!! :o)

This weekend Katie went to a Birthday party. Earlier in the week she had picked out this new party dress and she was very excited to have an opportunity to wear it. Katie gave me detailed instructions on how she wanted her hair. She is becoming a girl with a very clear style of fashion. Sometimes I find it hard to believe she is only 6. :o)

One of our neighbors has taken "ownership" of Linus (our neighborhood homeless cat). Yet, he still lounges in our yard daily as if he owns it. I LOVE this cat. I so wish I wasn't allergic to him. He is the sweetest little guy so we are thrilled that he still treats us like his family.
