Our Month in Review

We spent some time at the pool

We held a garage sale

We went strawberry picking

We met a few ducks while on a bike ride

We skyped with friends in Vancouver

We hung out at a near-by lake

Played with friends

And enjoyed making Smores during our backyard campfires

This evening's thunderstorm left behind a beautiful sunset.  Carson couldn't believe how orange the sky became.

Soccer Shoot Out

Tonight we attended Katie's "soccer shoot out" dinner and awards ceremony.  Katie received a 1^st place trophy (and a soccer ball) for winning the girls (ages 8 & 9) soccer challenge!!  Next month she heads to Regionals!

Saturday Afternoon

It was a gorgeous day (in the 90's) on Saturday.  So we spent the day at the water park!

Last Day

This morning I dropped the kids off for their LAST day of school.  Another year is done... and it really flew by!!  I'm truly a little stunned that summer break is about to begin!

You can tell they have done some growing over the past 9 months too. Below is a picture I took back in September on their first day of school.

Carson is getting too old to make his own card for his teacher.  So I bought him one to go a long with his gift.  Katie on the other hand happily made her card.  Her only request was that we add the picture.

Thank you for teaching me this year!  I will miss you very, very much.  I hope you like the students next year!  You are awesome!  I really like you as my first teacher at <insert school name>!  ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!!  From Katelynn

Below is a picture of Katie's Brownie Troop.  Either Katie is short for a 2nd Grader or there is something special in the water out here!  I think it is a little of both!

2 Miles Away

Hidden away (only 2 miles from our house) is a mosquitoes-filled walking path. Beautiful... if you can handle the insects...

However, in a clearing (surprisingly mosquitoe-free) is a beautiful park and picnic area.  

Last Soccer Game

Today, Katie played her last soccer game for the season.  They won 3 to 0.
