3rd Grade Cultural Parade

Carson will be walking in the 3^rd Grade Cultural Parade this week.  He was very excited to do his project on Canada. 

He needed to write about 3 contributions Canada has made to the world.  We came up with several options, and he picked the invention of the IMAX, the sport of basketball and the inspiration of Terry Fox.

 

The back shows the Canadian map and a star was placed where his family is from.  The rest he could decorate any way he wanted.  Carson picked national symbols like the beaver, maple leaf and the Canadian Emblem.

And this ends your little impromptu educational lesson on Canada  :o)

Below is a Canadian beer commercial that was very popular a few years back.  It sort of pokes fun of Canadian stereotypes.  It always makes me laugh.

Multicultural Night

One week later... and I'm back in blogland!  Go figure!!  I do have a new URL - my old one foolishly had my last name in it.  I still can't promise I'll be blogging much... or that when I do, it will actually be interesting!

Thursday night Carson's class participated in the school's Multicultural Night. 

Spring Break Here We Come!!!

Sleepy Head

Miss Sleepyhead had a cat nap one afernoon after school.
