Last weekend the kids and I drove to Fargo, North Dakota. We met my sister and her kids there for a pre-Christmas get together. We are staying in Minnesota for Christmas, so this trip gave us a chance to exchange gifts and spend some time together.
We spent most of our time at the hotel pool. Debbie and I enjoyed a few drinks poolside each night while the kids played. It was a fun weekend.
Unfortunately our drive home didn't go as smoothly as the weekend did. Blowing snow and icy roads made it a slow and scary drive. At times we were down to one lane on the high way and going speeds as slow as 30 mph. It was an adventure!
I remember those wintery roads! I don't miss them at all. Glad you made it home safely.
