Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend. Ours was a wonderful ending to an amazing Spring Break!

Saturday morning Al took the kids bright and early to Home Depot for their monthly kid's craft.

They had made this craft once before... in March of 2007. It is a butterfly catcher... we never had any luck catching one, however maybe the new ones will be luckier. :o)

Later Saturday morning we took the kid's to an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt. The rain stayed away long enough for them to fill their baskets. We also ran into a few friends!!

Saturday afternoon the kids got busy decorating their Eggs for the Easter Bunny.

There were a lot of happy face eggs this year. However Katie thought outside the box and attempted to leave a few messages for the Bunny.

The egg on the left said, "My Birthday is March 18"
The yellow egg on the right said, "Happy Day"

Late Saturday night when we were all fast asleep the Easter Bunny made a visit. The kids were so excited this morning!

We spent a few hours in the afternoon at OMSI.

Tomorrow the kid's head back to school... and we all return to the regular routine of daily life. I'm ready for it! :o)

  1. We went to Home Depot too. Unfortunately my kids want to paint everything they make. I like the natural wood. Thanks for posting the easter basket pics.....it is helping with my argument with my husband that the baskets should just have candy (his opinion) versus my overshopping. :-)

  3. And, Nicholas built his butterfly catcher too (after soccer). Like Perrin's kids, it "has" to get painted, but rather than use paint we have here, Dad always buys more paints to do it at home later (oy!). Looks like the Easter Bunny had fun this year. What a fun way to spend an Easter Sunday!
