Early this morning Shawna picked me up and we headed to downtown Vancouver to participate in the March of Dimes Walk.
Once we were there we found our other 2 teammates Nikki and Missy. Yes... I was the only one not to bring my kids. Katie had a choir performance later in the day and I just didn't think it would work out time wise.
It was a fun walk and I am so glad I participated. Thank you to all my sponsors!!!
Tonight Katie's Daisy Group joined other Girl Scout Troops in Vancouver for Skate Night.
Now... back in my day I could hold my own on roller skates. Sadly, that was a few decades ago... and I didn't have random girls grabbing at my hands, arms, and waist without warning (to save themselves from falling). :o)
Katie spent most the evening casually circling the rink by holding onto the wall and my hand. However by the end of the night she gained her balance and confidence and we made it out to the middle of the rink. It was a fun time, but I suspect I will be very sore tomorrow!
