It feels like Spring!

Our weather has been so mild this winter and the snow keeps melting away on us!  It sure doesn't look or feel like winter in Minnesota.  Today Carson was even out on his new electric scooter (a birthday gift from his Grandpa).

Cinders

I thought I'd post a short note to share some sad news...  Over Christmas break we had to say good-bye to Cinders.  She lived a long and happy 14.5 years with our family.  The house feels oddly quiet now.

Mall of America

On Monday we drove down to the Mall of America.  Al had been there before, but it was the first time for the kids and I.

We checked out the rides at Nickelodeon Universe (and think we'll have to do this next time the kid's cousins come to visit).

Then we walked through the mall.  Carson got excited when he saw all the Angry Birds!

Carson had been wanting to visit the Lego store since we moved to Minnesota.  It did not disappoint.

He had fun creating his own Lego people (right hand corner).  They charged $10 for all three.

Katie was thrilled to find a Hello Kitty Store.

Then there was the American Girl Store...  Katie has wanted one of these dolls for over a year now.  After visiting the store, her desire has only increased.  Did you know you can bring your doll there and they have a "beauty salon" where someone will comb and re-style your dolls hair?  Crazy!

Maybe Katie will get a doll on her Birthday, but on Monday she did not walk out with one.  Instead....

... she settled for a sock monkey!  :o)
